Besides their cattle activity, SARIC has intruded during the last year in the agricultural activity, developing the cultivation of sugar cane, conventional as well as organic, in a way to provide the essential raw material to the sugar sector.

Currently, in the Ranch “Los pinos” as well as in “Colonia-i”, 2,700 hectares in total are being worked in several parcels that are in different stages of the process of cultivation of the sugar cane; canalization, preparation of the soil, plantation and cultural care.

The current project is estimated to have a 3 years total period, time during which is programmed to work 3.000 hectares in total; always considering the possibility to expand the projects of the company in the agricultural sector in the future.
